Finding the Perfect Wedding Venue

Written by Strathy

When it comes to your wedding day, you want everything to be perfect and your wedding venue is no exception. It is important that your dress is perfect and that the caterers are on time along with everything else. But the wedding venue can make a beautiful day, into a day that you will remember for the rest of your lives.

There are several options when it comes to choosing a wedding venue. The first is of course a church, this is the traditional wedding venue. The reason for this is because churches are already set up to handle the seating arrangements. In addition the alter usually makes the ceremony easy to conduct. But if you are a non traditional couple you may want to consider other options when it comes to your wedding venue. the following are just a few examples of other venues to consider.

One alternative venue is either one of your parents' houses. This is a good choice for the fact that you can save money on having to rent a hall to have the reception, you can have wedding and ceremony all in one place.

Maybe you want to consider a beach for a possible wedding venue, many people associate love with a beach and nothing says that you care about your spouse than a romantic beach wedding location.

These are just a couple of ideas for your wedding venue. When choosing a wedding venue it is important that you consider such things as parking space for your guest, the last thing you want after the wedding is for it to look like New York rush hour in the parking lot.

Another thing that you need to ensure is that there is plenty of seating room for your guests. A good wedding venue will allow seating for all your planned guests and the few that roam in off of the street, or come with your family. Uncle Harold will be upset if he has to stand all through the wedding because of bad planning!

In closing, it is important that all your details are exact, however don't over look the wedding venue as this will be the one thing that can quickly turn that perfect day into a disaster. Plan your wedding venue carefully and make sure to allow for unexpected things that are bound to pop up and ruin your perfect day.

Children love plush toys, but did you know that they have an adult following as well? Adults love to collect them and make them too! Some of the more popular plush toys are monster dolls. They are really so easy to make. Here are some ideas and instructions for making plush toy monster dolls yourself.

Plush Toys Pattern
One option is to go the traditional route and find a pattern for making plush toys in a sewing or craft store or online. This will give you the templates and all directions required to make plush toys. All the guess work is already done.

Another option, which is more appealing in a variety of ways, is to make your own pattern. Draw up a design yourself or, if you have a child in the house, have he or she draw a monster person for you. Take that drawing and enlarge it using a photocopier.

Cut out the design, making one piece for the body and head and a separate piece for an arm and a separate piece for a leg. You should have 3 pieces of your pattern. Tip: You will probably want to make any arms or legs a lot thicker than you may think so it is easier to construct.

Fabric or Felt
If you are new to sewing, making plush toys is much easier to do if making them in felt. You will not need to worry about turning the wrong sides together, sewing and then flipping it right side out. Making plush toys from felt allows you to sew on the outside, with a seam allowance, and not worry about fraying like you would using fabric. There are many color options available in felt and you can get good texture from this material. You may even be able to find limited patterned felt available as well.

Using fabric for plush toys is more professional looking in the quality. You will also find that there is much more selection available in the way of colors, patterns and texture.
Another option is to use a combination of felt and fabric. You may find that using felt for hair is a quick and easy way to do it on plush toy.

Construction
Putting your plush toys together can be a little tricky. First take your fabric and fold it in two. Lay the body/head pattern piece down on the fabric in a place that will not cause too much fabric waste. i.e. an edge. Pin the pattern down to the fabric and cut it out.

Then take the arm pattern piece and cut out 4 of these pieces. You will need to cut out 2 first and then move the arm piece over and cut out 2 more. Do the same for the leg pattern piece. You will end up with 2 pieces of fabric for the body, 4 arms and 4 legs.

Take off the paper pattern pieces and pin the 2 fabric pieces together, making sure the right sides face together. You will see the right side once it is sewn and turned out.

Make the legs and arms first. Sew all around the edges of the legs and arms, but leave about 1/2" seam allowance all along the edges. Also, make sure you leave a space big enough to turn it right side out.

Turn the fabric arms and legs right side out. You may need to use a knitting needle to help poke out any arms and legs that are too skinny. Using fibre fill, stuff the arms and legs.

Take the body piece and carefully place the arms and legs in position, but have the actual arms and legs inserted in between the two body pieces. Pin all along the edges.
At a sewing machine, sew around the edges of your body/head piece (with the legs and arms inside). Be sure and leave about 1/2" all the way around the edges. Also, make sure you leave an opening so that you can turn it right side out when you are finished.

Turn the plush toys right side out and now you are ready to stuff! Fill the monster doll with fibre fill and using a needle and thread, close the opening by sewing it by hand.

Embellishing Plush Toys
There are so many things you can do to decorate or embellish your plush toys.

Face - Make a face for your plush toys using embroidery thread and a needle. You can also simply sew buttons on or paint a face if you prefer.
Hair - Using pieces of yarn, sew some hair onto your plush toy. Alternatively, you could cut out strips of felt and glue or sew it into place as hair.
Clothing - You can make clothing for your plush toys or maybe even find some around in your children's stash.
Accessories - It is fun when plush toys come with accessories. Make eyeglasses by twisting wire into the appropriate shape, make a handbag out of a fabric pouch and ribbon, tie ribbon in the hair, add beads for earrings, make a hat, make felt shoes, knit or crochet a scarf, etc.

When making your own plush toys, you will come to realize that this is an addictive hobby. Even if your first one is not perfect, with practice your handmade plush toys will be wonderful and such fun! Think of all the gifts you could make for friends or loved ones! It would be such a great gag gift to make them in the likeness of the person who is receiving it! Make a little tag with a story about your monster doll to go along with the gift. And don't forget to name them!

RV Insurance Rates

Written by Douglas Bernard

If you love camping and traveling then you probably own a recreational vehicle or RV.  Along with the fun an RV brings you and your family you also need to consider the practical matter of insurance.  Finding out RV insurance rates can be as easy as calling your current vehicle insurance company and asking for their rates.  If you have multiple vehicles and perhaps other insurance with your insurance company then the chances of you adding an RV to your policy and obtaining good rates can be promising and affordable.

If you are like me I shop around for all my insurance policies and do not usually use the same company.  Since insurance companies specialize in insurance specific items you can sometimes get better rates by shopping around for the type of insurance you need to meet your specific needs.  So if you need RV insurance rates try searching on the internet to locate companies which provide insurance made specifically for your recreational vehicle.

Now not all recreational vehicles are made equal.  I am not referring to quality specifically but the type of recreational vehicle you may own.  There are pop-up tent campers that can be easily pulled behind just about any vehicle with a hitch and there are trailers that are self contained units that require a heavy duty truck to tow it along the highways.  Finding RV insurance rates for these types of recreational vehicles are usually easy and reasonably priced.  Most insurance companies providing typical car, boat and trailer insurance policies can provide a standard policy to protect your camper.

Other recreational vehicles like motor coaches or third wheel trailers may require a broader range of coverage since many of them are self contained motor vehicles in their own right.  Obtaining RV insurance rates for these recreational vehicles can be more expensive than your simple pop-up camper. To find affordable RV insurance rates for the larger self propeller home on wheels search the internet for insurance companies specializing in providing recreational vehicle insurance. Compare the rates and terms of the policies to make sure you are getting the best available coverage and premiums before deciding which company to purchase your insurance from.

There are other considerations when getting RV insurance rates.  Many companies will base their premiums on the number of miles you travel with your recreational vehicle along with where you travel.  If you tend to stay close to home your rates could be lower than someone who regularly travels across country.  There are also additional considerations if you live in a more populated area, with higher traffic rates and higher crime rates.  These types of conditions can increase or decrease your insurance depending on where you live, where you drive and how often you make your camping trips.

Another consider in determining RV insurance rates is where you house your recreational vehicle.  If you park your camper at your place of residence and you are in a neighborhood that has higher security than others then your rates could be lower.  If you store your recreational vehicle away from your home where there could be possibilities of thief, break-in or other damage then your rates could be higher.  There are many varying factors associated with finding a policy with the terms and premiums that will fit your budget and lifestyle, while still protecting your property.  And in many cases with the larger recreational vehicles the property value can be considerably high.  Having fun can be expensive but it can be much more expensive if your recreational vehicle is damaged in any way and you do not have adequate insurance to cover your losses.

Short Term Car Insurance

Written by Douglas Bernard

For many situations you will require a short term car insurance policy; some of them are borrowing a friend’s car for some days for use, test driving a vehicle, lending your car to someone else or teaching someone to drive. In addition to these, if you have guests from overseas and they want to use your car then you’ll be covered as long as they have a valid driver’s license. However the market is less competitive in the field of short term car insurance policy; many car insurers are more interested in long term commitments.

Since motor insurance has become an integral part of playing safe with driving, the smallest of the journey needs to be covered and not having insurance along with the risk will also be a big mistake. This is a reason that most of the insurance companies have rolled out short term car insurance.

The period for a short term car insurance policy is from one day to four weeks. The added advantage along with car insurance for short term car insurance is this separate policy temporary in nature will not affect no-claims discount on the regular car insurance. When using someone’s car or allowing someone else to use your car, short term car insurance will allow additional drivers on the car for a few days. Short term car insurance is necessary for quick coverage. It is best to add temporary drivers to your main car.

In a situation when many students are returning home for vacations, when they ask to use cars of their parents, to overcome the dilemma of the parents whether to allow their wards or not, short term car insurance has provided the solution for their worries. The most important thing to have cheap short term car insurance is to have a good driving record.

At times when you are traveling with a rented car through a long distance or even short distance, you’re required to have coverage for any untoward incidents; that is provided by short term car insurance. Many people feel that buying short term car insurance is expensive as well as time consuming but that’s not true. It covers any kind of injury that happens when traveling. There are many benefits on having short term car insurance. Short term car insurance provides temporary additional coverage on vehicles or drivers

This policy is being used by those car owners who are away from their homes working and are not using their car all round the year. But to have a full year insurance policy will not be a bad idea either. Since everyone’s needs are different it’s best to look at both long term and short term policies.

Once in need of a short term car insurance, there are many insurance companies that offer these policies online. You can do a research online to have the best and most affordable short term car insurance by comparing the rates and the features of various short term insurance policies. The offers have fast and easy payment schemes to accommodate your immediate needs. The short term insurance policy can be renewed any time. The policy has a beauty of tenure selection, where you can select the period of coverage right up to the number of days.

So the next time your planning a trip and are requiring a rented car instead of opting for the rental insurance that is expensive check with your car insurance company to see how much there short term car insurance policy is. You’ll save money for sure!

Jane Cosmetics Reveiw

Written by Douglas Bernard

Jane cosmetics is often over looked when buying new brands due to their low prices. I have used Jane for a few years and I am so glad that I discovered them. The colors are comparable to Estee Lauder and the quality is high end despite the very reasonable pricing. Jane is one of the best drugstore makeup brands you are going to find.

My first experience with Jane cosmetics was Blushing Cheeks in shade blushing honey. I received it as a gift from my Mom. I saw Jane on the shelves but I always choose a more expensive brand because I erroneously thought that price denoted quality.

The blush comes in a cute little pot with the word Jane on its clear lid. I opened it up and did the smell test (a surprisingly common way to judge if a women is going to like a makeup) it had nearly no scent. This was a great selling point for me because if I am going to put it on my face I do not want it to be perfumed. The light scent that I could detect was very clean and subtle. I applied the blush on the apples of my cheeks and found myself pleasantly surprised at the quality of the product. It blended better than products that cost twice as much! It gave me a subtle glow, but I could not see any tell tale signs of wearing makeup.

Later that day my husband even commented that I had a rosy glow and I waited for him to say I over did it on the make up but then he stated “and your not even wearing makeup today.” For him to say this is a big deal because he is the type that likes the natural look and usually politely points it out if he can see obvious makeup. After trying the blush, I knew I had to have more of this affordable brand!

Jane products in my makeup bag right now include: Jane Max Lash 2 Mascara, Jane Pure Mineral Foundation, three Jane eye shadow duos, and Jane Max lip plumper, Jane Bronzer, blush, and a few nearly empty lipstick tubes. I try new colors more often with Jane than with any other brand because I trust them to be good and I can afford to experiment more. My favorite Jane product at the moment is the Max Lash Mascara because it does not smudge or leave little flakes around my eyes like some other mascaras tend to do. The lip plumper gives me that glossy look on my lips yet has no tint this is great for the casual yet sexy look. I am looking forward to trying the Be Pure mineral lip balms but have not found them yet locally. I am sure they will be a staple this winter if they are anything like the other products put out by Jane.

As I already stated, Jane Cosmetics is a very affordable brand. However, I am never one to pass up a deal so before I go to the store I often print up Jane Makeup coupons and I can typically find a good one. Most of Jane’s line runs under or around five dollars, so a dollar or two off is great, and every so often Jane will go on sale buy one get one, combine that with coupons found online and it’s better than Christmas!

I am a huge fan of Jane because of the high-end quality and colors. I love telling my friends when they ask about a shade I am wearing about the price.  It all started with a little pot of blush and now I cannot get enough of Jane Cosmetics!

Xbox 360 Error E 74 Fix

Written by Douglas Bernard

What to do if you need an Xbox 360 Error E 74 Fix? There are a few reasons as well as solutions to this problem. There are quite possibly two different reasons for your Xbox 360 Error E 74. It be a sign that your console's hard drive has over heated. Some causes to over heating could be over play or leaving your console to idle for extended periods of time. The other reason would be due to your power supply being defective. You should check your power supply to make sure it is powered on, working properly, not over heating and in a good working condition.

You might be able to fix the Xbox 360 Error E 74 yourself without having to call customer service. Some ways to fix an overheating problem could be to turn your console off for a couple of hours so it will be completely cooled. Another could be to unplug all cords and attachments to let each outlet "rest" for a while. You might even want to try restarting the console if at all possible. If you really don't want to schedule a fix with Microsoft you can refer to your manual that came with the Xbox.

Scheduling a fix with Microsoft is a time consuming but ultimately simple task to accomplish. You are somewhat in luck if you purchased insurance on your console or if it is still under the manufacturers warranty. If this is the case you can contact Microsoft and they will do two things. The first thing that the customer service center at Microsoft will have you do is, with them on the phone guiding you, run a quick diagnostic to see if the problem can be fixed then and there. If the home diagnostic does not work they will require that the Xbox be sent to them for repair. Microsoft will send you a box, with return shipping included, that you will ship your console back in.

From there it is a waiting game until the repairs needed on your console are completed, and the console is then shipped back to you. All in all, from initially calling the problem in, to having the console back in your posession, the process takes about a month. An Xbox 360 Error E 74 Fix is a simple, yet painful, thing to accomplish. And always remember to take good and proper care of your console.
